We are sure you have many questions about us, our services, and how we manage the projects. Here are some common questions and answers.

  1. Do you take deposits before work is started?
    1. Yes we do on most projects. This upfront payment pays for materials and labour to start your project, as well as any custom materials that require ordering in advance. The amount varies with each job. Further payments are made on a “milestone” basis, so you can see certain work has been done before releasing the next payment.
  2. How long is your warranty?
    1. We offer a TWO YEAR warranty on all workmanship, plus any materials or fixtures installed that carry a longer warranty (lifetime warranty on faucets, for example) are transferred to you.
  3. Are you fully insured?
    1. Yes, we carry $5million in general liability insurance, as well as $2million in liability on each work vehicle.
  4. Is workplace safety important to you?
    1. Absolutely. One of our core values is around safety. If we can’t do a job safely, then we can’t do it at all. We have completed all the requirements for the Alberta COR program, and have a comprehensive health and safety program to minimize the chances of an incident.
  5. How many people work for you?
    1. We currently have six full-time employees working on job sites, two office staff, and the owner is active in the business.
  6. Are you licensed?
    1. We have business licenses in St. Albert and Edmonton. We have a “Prepaid Contractor” license from Service Alberta, and we will purchase additional business licenses in jurisdictions we are working in as needed. All of our sub-trades are similarly licensed.
  7. Do you provide 24 hour emergency service?
    1. Not at this time. We are available during regular business hours of 8:30 to 5:00 Monday to Friday.
  8. What does “turn-key” mean?
    1. This means that we complete a project that is ready to use immediately. All you have to do is “turn the key” to open your room, and start using it!
  9. What payment methods of you accept?
    1. We accept cash, cheques, bank drafts, Visa, and Mastercard for all projects. Receipts are provided for all work.
  10. If I pay cash, can you do it for cheaper?
    1. Unfortunately, no. We are a legitimate business doing high quality work and do not contribute to the black market for materials or labour. We believe “you get what you pay for” and offering to pay cash to a fly-by-night contractor will only lead to heartache.
  11. Can supply all the materials, and hire you for labour-only?
    1. We only do turn-key renovations where we supply all the labour and materials. We are flexible, however, especially if you have a fixture or equipment not generally available that needs specialized experience to install. Our main concern is that our name and reputation will be on the project when its done, so we prefer to control the quality of materials and workmanship directly.
